Fly Cheap, Stay Cheap, Travel Cheap
Like many people, my wife and I have always loved to travel. Unfortunately, two things usually stood in our way—time and money. When we had one, we frequently didn’t have the other. Sometimes, on the rare occasions when the planets were aligned just right and we actually had both time and money together, we’d make a mad dash to the travel agent and book a trip. As we found out though—more than once—just because you use a travel “professional” doesn’t always mean that things will go according to plan.
Years ago, you didn’t have much choice when it came to planning your trip. You went to a travel agent, or you called an airline or a hotel directly. The Internet has changed all that. Now, with a few strokes of the keys, you can find the best water parks, the most unique museums, the most exotic cruises…whatever you want…and all at bargain (or at least discounted) prices. You can learn about local customs, flavors, and attractions before you leave. You can book on-line, e-mail questions on-line, and even take a virtual tour of your destination. And you can do all this from the comfort of your own home..
