My recommendation to all my corporate clients planning to move to Panama is to spend at least 30-days renting in the country to understand what is important to you and your husband.

Panama is a ‘business friendly’ with a good economy. There are beautiful, small communities, in the countryside. Unfortunately, it is hard to cut through the Real Estate publicity to get good information on actually living here.

Recall that ‘business friendly’ does not mean ‘resident friendly’ nor ‘business efficient’. Also, your Real Estate investment may give you financial opportunity, but it does not assure that you will be happy in Panama. Panama is really another developing country with its full share of infrastructure problems, corruption, and inefficiencies.

Again, we have great airport connections to Panama. Come and rent for 30 to 60-days. Get to know several property agents (I recommend you know more than one to avoid bias). Look and see if the country can satisfy your lifestyle.
