Hi my name is Sarah. My family and I moved to Cuenca, Ecuador about three years ago. We love it here! Since we’ve been here we’ve started several businesses and written a 14 page report on travel, investment, relocation, and medical tourism. If you would like more information please contact Petrapresident@gmail.com. We would love to answer any questions you may have

I agree with Domenick. We have lived in Cuenca for over two years and also on the coast for 4 months at a time. We and others have bought properties in Cuenca and other parts of Ecuador and we certainly have no fear of our properties being taken by the government. I am Australian but there are many Americans, Canadians and Europeans in this country and more are buying properties.

All of Latin America is trending strongly towards socialism. It is the affect of years and years of oppresion from right wing, corrupt administrations that basically only look out for their own personal interests.

But Ecuador is VERY laid back, as well as the people...and is very American friendly and capitalist. Like anywhere there are risks, but Ecuador has respected individual property ownership and does not show any signs in changing that.

this country is trending strongly to socialism....not a good idea to have private property there and expect it to be protected if things keep going the way they are.
