Following this significant development, we spoke to Brent Johnson this week to get the complete picture of how The American Freedom Report came about, how and why it has helped so many people gain greater insight already, and why there was a need for the change to become The Global Freedom Report. Our interview was enlightening:
Escape Artist: What key reasons drove you to establish The American Freedom Report in the first place?
Brent Johnson: I believe that radio is the best medium for bringing important information to the greatest number of people possible. Also, unlike TV, radio leaves a certain amount to the imagination of the listener: in other words, the listener has to think. TV lets the viewer zone out; not radio. There are people who wish to control the people of the world; I believe that is an affront to the human spirit and therefore must be resisted. The Global Freedom Report is a very effective way of encouraging resistance to the globalist agenda of controlling all people and all things.
EA: Why is it important that your resource is available?
BJ: There are few enough outlets of credible and accurate information, and even fewer that are dedicated to truth, justice and honesty – valuable traits that are no longer highly regarded in a world consumed by concerns about money, convenience, power and position.
EA: What drives modern Americans to want to ‘escape’ their nation?
BJ: Everyone has a “tolerance line in the sand”. This is the representation of how much a being is willing to take; when you cross someone’s line in the sand, then he/she is not going to take any more of whatever you are doing. All over the world, the globalist agenda is pushing people past their respective tolerance lines. One of the ways they respond is to leave the oppressive environment in favor of a freer place. That is what I see happening, not just in the United States but all over the world.
EA: What do you think most people are striving to obtain through expatriation?
BJ: Less government regulation over their lives. At least, I think that is the primary reason these days. Some people seek tax breaks but they always have and always will. I believe that the increase in the flow of expatriates is attributable to the greater and more frequent encroachments on freedom that growing numbers of people are experiencing.
EA: Why does America seemingly try to restrict everything about its citizens’ lives – from financial freedom to personal choice?
BJ: In a word… control. That is the objective of some 3 – 5% of the world’s people: to control everyone and everything. Another 3 – 5% are staunchly opposed to being controlled. Maybe 80% are the mindless masses that will do whatever they are told. The remaining 10 – 14% could go either way: toward the controllers or the freedom fighters. They are the ones we seek to reach with our message.
EA: How do you choose/find/select the guests who appear on The Global Freedom Report?
BJ: I have a team of dedicated people who bring recommendations for guests; we also have an ongoing list of prospective guests. My co-hosts and other team members regularly make suggestions, too. The main thing is to address topics from the perspective of how they affect the freedoms of the people.
EA: Can we be forward and ask, have you got any teasers of what Escape Artist Radio and Global Freedom Report listeners can expect in the near future?
BJ: As you know, we have recently gone to a global format, renaming the show The Global Freedom Report – so we are developing correspondents in many different countries and will be presenting “Global Perspective.” These will be 3 – 5 minute interviews with ‘ordinary people’ from around the world, conducted by our international reporters. This is designed to provide awareness of the growing scourge of globalism sweeping our world.
We have also already started a daily segment, “Kiwi Contingent,” reporting on the effects of globalism in New Zealand.

BJ: The Global Freedom Report is an international freedom variety show.
