La Jolla Condominiums Are Selling Like HOTCAKES

Rosarito Beach is the Safest City in Northern Mexico

Why are 100,000 US citizens moving to Mexico every year? And, why do more than 1,000,000 people from the US already own property in Mexico?

We are NOT talking about Juarez, Mexico (near El Paso, Texas), or Mexico City, where crime is rampant; we’re talking about ‘San Diego South,’ also known as Rosarito Beach, Baja, Mexico, only 20 minutes South of the US Border, where the livin’ is easy, the people are friendly and property values are reasonable.

Why have so many people moved to Baja, Mexico, in the last ten years? According to the 2010 reports from the International Community Foundation of the World Bank, here are the newly released trends regarding people moving to Baja, Mexico:

  • Over half are under the age of 65 years. 72.6% are fully retired and 45% of Baby Boomers aged 50-66 are fully retired
  • Over 60% have a college degree and 31% have a Masters or Doctoral Degree
  • Nearly 70% have an annual income of over $25,000
  • 70% spend less than $2,000 a month and 44% have monthly expenses of less than $1,000 per month.
  • 70% indicated that health care was affordable and accessible in Mexico

Surveys report that people considering moving to Mexico want many of the same conveniences they have enjoyed in their home country without the drama of a ‘regular move’ by having to arrange for the installation of their own utility services, phone, cable and Internet connections. Many new buyers seek out condominium living which includes utilities, preinstalled telephone, cable, and Internet connections. Condos in Mexico are the perfect ‘turn key’ homes as an ideal solution for new expats moving South of the Border.

Rosarito Beach is the safest city in Northern Mexico and is enjoying the lowest crime rate in five years, mainly because Mayor Torres’ US trained multi-lingual Tourist Police are constantly on patrol and readily available to anyone (tourists or locals) by dialing 078 from any phone. Baja, Mexico, is doing everything it can to improve safety and increase tourism and encourage new residents.

There are already 14,000 expats living in Rosarito Beach who enjoy their lives in peace and

comfort. They live here because they feel safe! The local expat community is vibrant, active, well organized and very welcoming to new residents. Newly minted expats can easily meet the local English speaking community by joining well-publicized local ‘clubs’ of interest ranging from theater, golf, arts, library, civic work, sports, Rotary International, health focused, spiritual and religious groups.

The crown jewel in Baja for luxury condo living at an affordable price is located in Rosarito Beach. La Jolla Condominium Development sits on a beautiful stretch of white beach and is only five minutes from the downtown area of Rosarito Beach. This well-constructed condominium project was built by Desarrolladora de las Californias, S.A., de C.V., a reputable developer who has built 550 condominiums over the past two decades in Baja, Mexico.
