Colombiamoda gets prepared for its 23rd annual fashion show. This is where they keep positioning themselves as the most important business platform for fashion in Latin America.
Colombiamoda 2012 expects to generate over $95 million dollars worth of business opportunities with the participation of more than 9,500 visitors, 1,400 international buyers and 450 exhibitors.
New Business Models for Fashion
Inexmoda returns to Colombiamoda with the New Business Model Pavilion. This is an aggressive business model which is aimed to set a new course for the fashion world.
In 2011 the outcome involved 28 well known companies and 60 foreign investors which encouraged business under models such as franchises and joint ventures with a positive result. It is expected to open 90 new stores for the participating companies during the course of the year, which may generate sales of $18 million USD.
This year it is expected that 30 well known companies with a good track record and positive futures will participate in the Latin American region. These include companies coming from Colombia, Brazil and Mexico such as Arturo Calle, Tennis, Color Siete, Novo, Jon Sonen, Pilatos, Be Fit, FDS, Hering, Brandilli and Ellipse.
Latin America “Window”
At its turn, Latin America acts as a “window” to look for new talent that are being brought up in classrooms, which require special attention to boost their creativity. In its previous years such initiative received proposal from students from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
Colombian Fashion Week will bring for the first time “The Box”, a non-conventional and democratic space for the exposure and visibility of young talent through non-conventional stages, such as talking about the future of fashion and the characters that will play the leading role in the coming years, with an urban and viral diffusion touch.
