Editors Note:  Ok.  Here’s the deal-e-o.  I had been hearing the words “Empower Network” floating around for the last few months. I didn’t know what it was, it had a lot of hype as one of the fastest growing businesses around, but I honestly didn’t care.  It seemed just like one more course, one more system, one more affiliate program.  Let me tell you something, I lived for a time in Ada, Michigan, the very home of Amway headquarters.  Do you have any idea how many times I got hit up from people trying to sell me stuff?  Incessantly!  I was always on edge at every soccer game, every potluck, just waiting for someone to slip in ‘have I got an opportunity for you….’   Disclaimer: yes, I joined and sold Amway for a while. It didn’t work for me.  I mean, the system was fine, I just didn’t like the product and I’m not a good pretender so I couldn’t fake it. I also didn’t like getting dressed up for meetings, nor did I like feeling like I was bugging people, so it was a flawed plan from the beginning.

So when Tom McMurrain, someone whom I hugely admire and get the chance to work with at Escape Artist, sent me the following article on the Empowered Network, my gut reaction was like ‘Seriously, Tom?  You too? I like you and all, but must I publish this?  Then I opened my mind a little and stopped being such a judgmental little brat, just for a second. I thought, what if he is onto something? Would I miss out just because I was closed-minded?  Was what I had going so awesome that I didn’t need to open myself to opportunity?  Short answer – I shut my mouth and watched the video.  And I saw myself in the founders of Empowered Network.  There was David Wood, sitting on a beach in Costa Rica in a t-shirt and messy hair, talking about how he had found himself living in a van with his wife, unemployed, with $45 in his bank account.  I can top that. After I left my husband, I found myself alone with three young kiddos, no home, cut off of all of my bank accounts (that was a fun surprise!), with the only money I now found myself with being 15 pesos that my kids sweetly gifted me that they had pooled from their leftover Valentine’s Day money from the grandparents.  That was rock bottom.

I have since gotten on my feet, but I am never one to settle for mediocrity. I want, hell, I DESERVE, over-the-top fabulous. I want true freedom.  I want to not worry about how much is in my bank account, I just want to know that there is enough for anything that I feel compelled to do or buy.  And I want all that while still being able to be a stay-at-home mom. I refuse to have an office. I refuse to get dressed up for anyone. And I refuse to wake up early. Not asking for much, huh?

So, I took the plunge.  And by that, I mean I invested less than what I probably spend a month in coffee on the chance to make some decent money. What is it, you might ask?  Very straightforwardly, Empower Network is a system that will revolutionize the amount of traffic, with EASE, that you can get to any website, it doesn’t matter what your product or service is, or how much of a tech idiot you are.  In that regard, it is applicable to so many people!  The second, separate component is the affiliate system for those of you who would like to sell the system…instantly direct depositing the 100% commissions into your bank account, so you really can live anywhere you want in the world!  (And yes, I wrote 100% commissions.
